On the 18th October the time has come to unveil the new Welcome Chinese Certification and the online platform welcomechinese.com.cn. The Welcome Chinese Certification is the new system that officially certifies all the travel related businesses that satisfy high standards in Welcoming Chinese visitors. All the certified businesses around the world will have the chance to join the program and enjoy the great range of benefits coming from the China Tourism Academy’s support and directly from our online platform. The aim is to improve the services for Chinese travelers and to promote European destinations by developing the amenities and services addressed exclusively to Chinese travelers segment. It takes place an in-depth analysis of the three Welcome Chinese Standard certifications: bronze, silver and gold. The level of certification depends on the number and nature of the services for Chinese travelers and it involves mainly hotels but also other businesses related to the travel sector. Prof. Bin Dai (CTA President) and Mr.Jacopo Sertoli (Select Holding CEO) secure the agreement on Welcome Chinese Project The ceremony is led by the president of the China Tourism Academy (CTA), Prof. Bin Dai, and by Mr. Jacopo Sertoli, CEO of Select Holding, which is the global exclusive certification issuer. It sees the participation of the distribution department of the China Central Television (CCTV), Union Pay and Hilton representatives. The presentation is held at the Beijing International Tour way, No. 1 National Stadium South Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing.
We at the Candlewood Suites Calgary Airport North, closely located to the Calgary airport YYC, have been certified by the China Tourism Academy as having reached the JADE STANDARD of "Welcome Chinese" Certification. As such we greet each guest with a special Welcome envelope with Chinese information on our extended stay hotel. Guests receive slippers, tea, and have access to kettles and rice cookers at no charge. Some items are available in our little convenience store called The Cupboard, and there is a Chinese Super Market about 2 kilometers away which has a full selection of food items, commonly found in China, including live fish. Also at the same shopping area, an authentic Chinese Restaurant called The T. Pot , China Bistro From our location we have easy access to main highways to take you to Banff National Park, or the Royal Tyrrell Museum, an excellent Dinosaur museum. Candlewood Suites is an excellent location with cooking facilities which provides a great home base as you travel to various attractions in the area.
