Have you got a great story about your destination that you’d like to share in China? Our new agreement with Travelling Scope (旅游天地) – founded in 1980, the first magazine of its kind in China – allows certified members of Welcome Chinese to be featured on paper.

THE MAGAZINE - Travelling Scope has a total circulation in China of about 657,000 copies. More than half of its distribution happens via postal subscription, while the rest is sold in kiosks, bookstores and convenient stores, including subway stations, airports and shopping malls. Readers are more male (58%) than female (42%) and those aged between 21 and 40 account for 62% of the overall audience. Moreover, 72% of the readers have a bachelor degree or above.

WHAT IS NEEDED FROM YOU - Here what you need to know to propose your piece for the magazine. Draft a story that is strictly not written for advertising purposes, highlighting the beauty and the hot features of your business(es) and of the destination where it’s located. Make it enjoyable and attractive, colorful and meaningful. Text should be approximately one page long and pictures should be provided with it. Our editorial team is in charge of evaluating the compliance of the texts to these guidelines.

We at the Candlewood Suites Calgary Airport North, closely located to the Calgary airport YYC, have been certified by the China Tourism Academy as having reached the JADE STANDARD of "Welcome Chinese" Certification. As such we greet each guest with a special Welcome envelope with Chinese information on our extended stay hotel. Guests receive slippers, tea, and have access to kettles and rice cookers at no charge. Some items are available in our little convenience store called The Cupboard, and there is a Chinese Super Market about 2 kilometers away which has a full selection of food items, commonly found in China, including live fish. Also at the same shopping area, an authentic Chinese Restaurant called The T. Pot , China Bistro From our location we have easy access to main highways to take you to Banff National Park, or the Royal Tyrrell Museum, an excellent Dinosaur museum. Candlewood Suites is an excellent location with cooking facilities which provides a great home base as you travel to various attractions in the area.
