Farah Experiences – the company that owns the Yas Waterworld and Ferrari World theme parks in Abu Dhabi – renewed its Welcome Chinese Certification for these two iconic family attractions.

CHINESE, NEW KEY CONSUMERS - Yas Waterworld and Ferrari World have been certified since 2015. According to Global Data marketing intelligence, the Emirates welcomed over 750,000 Chinese travelers in 2016 and are projected to top 900,000 within two years, taking advantage of its position as hub between Europe and Asia. The country offers a huge variety of hospitality solutions and high-profile attractions within easy reach of its international airports, and Farah Experiences is a big name in the sector.

CERTIFIED HOTELS - Given this rosy outlook, prestigious hotel brands in the Emirates are also certified. Rotana’s hotels are distributed among Al-Ain, Dubai and Abu Dhabi emirates, with the latter being the site of a number of stand-alone hotels, all of them targeting Mandarin-speaking travelers a key source of growth. Partners of Welcome Chinese are all included in our 2017 directory: please send us an email if you would like to receive a copy.

EASIER VISA MATTERS - Concerning Abu Dhabi, in the first months of 2017 China surpassed India as the largest overseas source of visitors to the prominent emirate. According to Abu Dhabi’s Tourism & Culture Authority, new visa-on-arrival regulations introduced last year resulted in a 48% year-over-year increase in the number of Chinese tourists staying in Abu Dhabi hotels.

We at the Candlewood Suites Calgary Airport North, closely located to the Calgary airport YYC, have been certified by the China Tourism Academy as having reached the JADE STANDARD of "Welcome Chinese" Certification. As such we greet each guest with a special Welcome envelope with Chinese information on our extended stay hotel. Guests receive slippers, tea, and have access to kettles and rice cookers at no charge. Some items are available in our little convenience store called The Cupboard, and there is a Chinese Super Market about 2 kilometers away which has a full selection of food items, commonly found in China, including live fish. Also at the same shopping area, an authentic Chinese Restaurant called The T. Pot , China Bistro From our location we have easy access to main highways to take you to Banff National Park, or the Royal Tyrrell Museum, an excellent Dinosaur museum. Candlewood Suites is an excellent location with cooking facilities which provides a great home base as you travel to various attractions in the area.
